How We Measure Your Package

HOW DO WE MEASURE YOUR CONSIGNMENT FOR DELIVERY?

Black and White Couriers is a “one stop shop” business.  Before you request a quote for delivery, you need to determine how big or heavy your consignment is as this has a direct bearing on the cost.

Often a consignment that is large in size but weighs very little is charged as if it weighed a great deal. This is because most courier companies use cubic measurement as a way of determining how valuable space taken up by an item is -in comparison to its actual weight.

At Black and White Couriers, we charge the greater of either the volumetric weight or the actual weight. Cubic measurement is a fair way of calculating and charging for freight of all sizes and weights. It involves comparing the volumetric weight (kg, based on size) against the actual weight (in kg).
